This tile has occupied a space in my mind for years now. These drawings, done before I could have known of all that was to come.

Unillustrated

How the shape can wrap around a sphere, with a circle on the bottom and top, a segment of for pieces and wrap around themselves and both the top and bottom circle
Puzzle piece, the shape can be made into a puzzle in which all the pieces are the same shape. It can also be scaled down within itself to make a interlocking piece.
Comparable to laminate flooring, I have a design adaptation to make this piece interlock into any of the possible arrangements
